Annie J. Mobley Memorial Scholarship

The Annie J. Mobley Memorial Scholarship is awarded to exceptional, graduating high school seniors who will be graduating from Greene County High School. The scholarship is for students who have demonstrated high academic achievement in mathematics and science, and pursing a degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics. Applicants must have a minimum of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) to apply.

Two individuals will be selected based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership, and participation in school and community activities. Financial need will also be considered.

More Details About Annie J. Mobley

Annie J. Mobley ( October 2, 1955 – August 27, 2012), the fourth child of the late Mr. James Mobley and Mrs. Carrie Means Mobley was born on October 2, 1955. She had 8 siblings with 3 sisters, 5 brothers and many cousins. Cindy accepted the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at an early age and joined St. Matthew Baptist Church in Clinton, Alabama. She served as a faithful member until her health started to fail.

She served as an usher, choir member, and a Sunday School Teacher. She was the secretary of the Sunset Social & Savings Club. Cindy was a loving and kind-hearted person, always willing and able to lend a helping hand. She was truly loved by many. Annie started school at the Greene County Training School. She moved and graduated from West Side High School in Gary, Indiana in 1974. Annie was employed by the Greene County Board of Education at Paramount High School for 28 years and 11 months as a CNP worker/manager. She retired in 2005. 

Her dreams and goals lives on thru her children.

She leaves behind a legacy of 4 children:
